Come Adore Him
Come Adore Him is a Christmas album with original arrangements of traditional
songs and one original song. The tracks are:
O Come, O Come Emmanuel

Mary Did You Know?

Joy to the World
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Some of the arrangements are a couple years old, and some we put together
specifically for the album. We decided to arrange the songs with a pretty laid
back feel, so Zach plays mostly congas and the djembe instead of the full drum
set. It's definitely a little more mellow than the most of the worship stuff we
usually play, but we are really happy with the energy that comes across. We had
a variety of instruments on several songs. Mark Young was gracious enough to
lend us his tenor saxophone on Little Drummer Boy and again for a
solo in Joy to the World, Jessie plays the flugelhorn on Silent Night
and Heather plays her violin in O Come, O Come Emmanuel as well as piano
for Mary Did You Know?. From the driving rhythm in the opener O Come,
O Come Emmanuel to the lilting piano and bass parts in What Child is
This? into the piano and guitar duets Mary Did You Know? and Come
Adore Him and with the funky jams in Joy to the World that most
listeners of barefoot prince will find familiar, there is a lot of variety on
the album and it is definitely not all "mellow". The cost of the CD is $10. We
are partnering with our church to help support a church in Sanora, Mexico called
Iglesia de Dios en Mexico, and all the proceeds from the album will go into that
fund. We are really excited with how the album came out and we hope that if you
have the chance to listen to it you will enjoy it. Thanks.
